It quantifies the quantity of light emitted in this direction and is linked to the notion of luminosity.
Its official unit of measurement is the candela (cd), which means “candle” in Latin. A candela corresponds to the amount of light emitted by a candle in a given direction.
For example, our high intensity light source has a light intensity of 50,000 mcd or 50 cd. Which corresponds to 50 candles.
