The first time I used an illuminated curette, I thought it was great! Then one day, the light gradually weakened to the point where I could no longer use it …
I then discovered that the manufacturer had forgot to put a door to change the battery! This discovery implied 3 things:
- We throw lithium in the trash;
- We must throw the light source and the precious lithium in the trash even if the electronics are still functional;
- I had to buy a new light source after only 2 months of use!
How not to feel cheated in this process? The goal here is obviously to make money shamelessly and without any respect for the environment.
Why throw plastic, electronic components and especially lithium batteries in the trash when only the batteries are no longer functional?
What happens to these materials? Since they are not separated, they cannot be recycled and will therefore be directed to a landfill.
